Modern side table

This modern side table was one of several items I made using white and black transparent paint.

This checked pattern gives a good insight in the effect of different colors transparent paint in multiple layers.

To create some depth in this pattern the natural wooden squares are necessary.

Black and white pattern

To give a twist and some contrast to the sleek pattern of the table top I made one special table leg.

This table leg is made of beech wooden balls of different sizes, beech wooden blocks and rectangular slats painted black, white or left natural of color. Each element is laced up over a 10 mm thick iron rod. The iron rod pierces the table top and is fastened with a screw thread in the black ball. You can turn the rectangular elements and change the look.

This handmade table leg is combined with 3 metal legs with different colors.

On top of the table top the slat painted with covering paint gives this modern side table more caliber.
