Inspiration for this abstract wooden sculpture

Two elements have been added to this statue “Over the Moon” from 2020, a cloak and hat.

For the figurines, different compositions of the same parts give different end results.
It can make the final shape appear stretched or contracted.
Which expresses a different bodylanguage and state of mind.

In this composition the body stretches and is slightly bent backwards.

The head is raised and pointed skyward: "I love the world and can handle anything!"

On this abstract wooden sculpture the gold leaf accents indicate the face and prominent breasts.

The mantle is made up of so-called “woodsies”.
These are 2 mm thick pieces of wood in all kinds of shapes such as hearts, round, square, diamond, moon.

The woodsies are colourful painted and attached to each other with copper wire.
Specks of yellow gold leaf and opaque blue paint provide accents.
Flowers blown by the wind have stuck to the mantle.

The cloak rests on the shoulders and blows backwards in the wind.
The additional loose strands with woodsies should enhance this effect.

The dark blue color of the hat provides contrast with the colorful coat.
The hat itself gives the head more volume and thus ensures a more balanced whole composition.

By tilting the position of the statue slightly forward on the brass rod, it is suggested that she is standing on her toes.
